This new collection of tunes realizes my dream of transforming music originally created as rock, classical, pop – and even a couple of nursery rhymes – into jazz.

To round out the set, I also adapted some of my original solo piano music for this album.

We recorded basic tracks with the jazz trio – piano, bass, and drums – in two sessions about a month apart.

​

Next, I made orchestral arrangements for several tracks. I left alone the ones that worked well in their pure trio state (although I did start orchestrating Godzilla for a possible future release).

​

The end result is a cross-section of my musical interests, a snapshot of my innermost musical self, and a darn nice set of easy-listening music. Fun, wild, calm, pacifying — it's all there.

I wanted to present the arranger side of me here as well. The musicians on the sessions provided so much good stuff to work with; I thank them with all my heart. And the orchestral musicians who came in to add their musical "secret sauce" ... well, they are the bee's knees. The pièce de résistance. The cat's meow.
